The multidisciplinary project – included: Civils, P/Way, Signalling, OHLE and Telecoms for clients Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) and Network Rail.

The reopened lines provide much-needed additional services between Larkhall and Milngavie.

Principle works were covered by Carillion Regional Civil Engineering – building stations, bridge demolition, bridge building and repairs, earthworks and civil engineering support to other disciplines. The works took place between the old Larkhall Central Station and the Hamilton Loop and on the old link between Maryhill and Anniesland.
