Harplands, Staffordshire

Carillion was responsible for the design, construction, equipping and commissioning of Harplands Hospital, a new £23 million, 148-bed Acute Psychiatric Unit. The unit is nationally recognised for the configuration of the hospital and the quality of the patient environment.

Carillion provides hotel and maintenance services. Team working and the focus on developing our people has been recognised with the team achieving Investors in People accreditation. The Carillion team has also been at the centre of World Mental Health Day activities, development of a wildlife garden and have promoted and managed innovative waste management and recycling initiatives which are outside the scope of Carillion’s contractual obligations.
