Carillion is improving the provision of acute healthcare to people in and around Portsmouth by helping to upgrade facilities and expand capacity at the city’s Queen Alexandra Hospital.
We’re helping to build a major extension to the hospital, and will be operating and maintaining the new 1,200-bed acute general hospital under a 33-year concession once work is completed. As part of this long-term partnership with Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust, Carillion Health will be providing a full range of hard and soft facilities management services, including a 24-hour helpdesk.
We are re-developing the site to deliver a modern environment, in which current clinical best practice is the starting point for continuous improvement in clean, safe, high quality surroundings that make best use of resources.
